The Holy Bible gives the most positive answers you can find anywhere. It also outlines in detail every action that we need to take in our daily life to enjoy better health, peace and happiness here and now with the promise of life eternal with freedom from every ache and pain.
We can enter through the pearly gates of the golden city past the ivory palaces, and spend as long as we like in God's great library of art and history. God has promised to provide us with the ability to fly as the angels do-- faster than the speed of light. We will be given liberty to travel throughout the universe and visit with the inhabitants of unfallen worlds.
One of the greatest joys of my life is witnessing the transformation that happens to people as they discover the Bible answers to their problems. Some students have come back after many years to thank me with a hug of gratitude. And that puts the icing on the cake.

God's original plan for mankind was the path of obedience that would give man happiness, peace and life. But Adam's sin opened the floodgates of suffering and death. Then God used a rescue plan to reinstate man back on the high road to eternal life. He came down to man's level and built a lighthouse and the WORD became the LIGHT OF THE WORLD.

God erected a cross stained with the blood of a LAMB to get man's attention. At the foot of the cross a DOOR opens up to the LADDER that reaches all the way from earth to heaven. You are invited to come to the cross, stop, look, and listen! You are invited to enter the door of opportunity and climb the ladder of salvation, following in the steps of Jesus.

1. The first reason why Jesus came to earth to die for us was to save us from eternal death & give us eternal life!
"As Moses in the wilderness lifted up the bronze image of a serpent on a pole, even so I must be lifted up upon a pole, so that anyone who believes in me…shall not perish but have ETERNAL LIFE. Jn.3:14-16 LB --
--"God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son." .Jn.3:16.
-- "Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice." Eph. 5:2 NKJ
-- "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners" 1 Tim. 1:15 NKJ

2. The second reason Jesus came to die was to destroy Satan and his works-- sin and sinners, lies & death. -- 1 Jn.3:8
"He (Jesus) wanted to use death to DESTROY the Devil who has the power of death." Heb. 2:14_SE
--"He who does what is sinful is of the devil, Because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work." 1_Jn 3:8 NIV
--(In Eden God told Satan that a coming human Messiah would destroy him: "You will strike his heel, but he will CRUSH your head." Gen.3:15 LB

3. A third reason why Jesus came and died was to fulfill all prophecies of a self-sacrificing God-Man!
"All of the PROPHETS who spoke for God long ago said that His Messiah would suffer and die.... Acts 3:18-SE.
"Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Rom.5: 6 LB. (NOTE: The year, day and the hour of Jesus death was all foretold. Send for a Dan.9 study)
"And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself;…. He shall bring an end to sacrifice.." Dan.9:25-27 NKJ
"He was brought as a lamb to the slaughter; and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he stood silent before the ones condemning him. ... it was their sins that he was dying for." Isa.53:7-8 LB
"So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation." HEB.9:28 |
4. The fourth reason Jesus came to earth was to magnify the Law and return man to his Creator -- Isa.42:21
"The Lord is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable." -- Isa.42:21
"Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow his steps: Who committed no sin." 1_Pet.2:21-22
JESUS SAID: "I did not come to destroy (the Law) but to fulfill...One jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law..Mat.5:17-18. -
