70X7=490 Years = End Time for Jews constructing Does 6000 Years from Creation = End Time for everyone?
|
I am still constructing with this. I am selecting what seem to me to be the most important history that everyone should know.
These pages will be about numbers and arithmetic. Jesus is proven to be the Messiah by prophecy, history and arithmetic. I will put here my 6000 year history chart of the world. (I did try. The file was too large and the print is not sharp. I will put it in jpg and use smaller parts. Will somebody help me correct this? - e-mail me - edwgraves@verizon.net. )
Is the 6000 year history of our civilization about to end and the 1000 year millennium soon to begin?
What does the 7 X 70 or 490 years that was allotted to the Jewish nation refer to?
Why did Jesus say to forgive 70 X 7?
Why is 7 a perfect number and 666 a very bad one? First: Let us look at the chart from Creation to the Exodus - the first 2500 years of our history.
|
The first 2000 years is very easy to calculate. From Adam through Noah you are given the ages of the fathers at the birth of the sons and simple addition gives you the number of years.
Notice how long people lived before the flood and how the life span was shortened so quickly after the flood. Why was this?
Several reasons: 1. Change of diet from vegetarianism to meat eating. 2. The climate change. circle of vapor around the earth was destroyed at the time of the flood. Causing an ice-age at the poles and more heat at the equator. 3. The physical changes of the earth at the flood; --volcanoes, earthquakes, mountains push up, lakes turn into oceans, land plates move.
The evidence of the physical change is every where to be seen. The great quantities of coal and oil prove that the earth was once a tropical paradise of lush vegetation. For every foot of coal there was 14 feet of vegetation that was burried under the mud flows of the flood.
Only those who are "willingly ignorant" (KJV)* will deny that there was a world wide catastrophic flood. But the Bible predicts that in these last days many leaders will teach that very thing. Please read *(2 Peter 3:3-6) in your own Bible. Below is the Living Bible version: 2 Peter 3:3-6 = First, I want to remind you that in the last days there will come scoffers who will do every wrong they can think of, and laugh at the truth. This will be their line of argument: ``So Jesus promised to come back, did he? Then where is he? He'll never come! Why, as far back as anyone can remember everything has remained exactly as it was since the first day of creation.'' They deliberately forget this fact: that God did destroy the world with a mighty flood, long after he had made the heavens by the word of his command, and had used the waters to form the earth and surround it.

2 Peter 3:8 - "But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day."
In other words God can do in one day what would take man a thousand years or more to do.
Peter could also have had reference to the popular tradition that the first 6 days of creation given to mankind represented the first 6000 years of man's opportunity; and as the 7th day was the golden day of rest so the 7th thousand year of time would be the millennium of peace with the Messiah King as Ruler of all. The next chart shows the first 2000 years of the 6000. It is an accurate chronology bringing us down from creation past the flood to the death of Noah.
According to Usher's chronology the 2nd 2000 years brings us to the birth of Jesus Christ and the next 2000 was supposed to bring us to the Second Coming of Jesus and the destruction of all the wicked people of the world.
As we all know it didn't happen like Usher and many others predicted. Some were disappointed, many more were relieved and glad as they were not ready to meet their maker. Bible scholars have now found where Usher was wrong. But before we go there let us review the the first 2000 years and notice a few things: 1. (This may sound like a joke but it is true.) Methuselah, the world's oldest man died before his father died. 2. His father Enoch didn't die. He was translated alive to heaven. 3. Methuselah's name means "when he dies the end comes." Why do you think God kept him alive so long? 4. He died 7 days before The Flood at the age of 969! 5. He heard Adam tell stories of creation for 240 years. 6. He told the same history to Shem who passed it on to Abram. |

The problem is that people can not comprehend how great our creator God is. He is not limitted to time or space as we are. So when we read the prayer of Moses, "For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night." we have a hard time believing it. That verse (Ps.90:4) is the one that Peter had reference to when he wrote 2 Pet.3:8 but the entire third chapter of Peter foretells that there will be several types of scoffers just before the end times.
Please use your Bible and read the third chapter of 2nd Peter.
First there will be the atheists who deny that there is a Creator God. Then there will be evolutionists who can't imagine the creation of the world in 6 literal days. Then the uniformitists who will not believe in a world wide flood. And also there will be Christians who follow the traditions of men rather than the Word of God. For example my Bible Archaeology teacher followed the Nile river index method that dated the pottery 200 years older than the Bible record. New discoveries now show that the Nile valley index was wrong and the history of Joseph and the 7 years of plenty before the 7 years of famine actually does match the Bible chronology. It did happen at the time the Bible said it happened. |
| The new findings of archaeology are surprising and astonishing to the skeptics. They don't know how to respond to these new discoveries. Thank God, some are beginning to study Biblical history, but the majority are blindly holding on to their traditions. Like the Jewish leaders who crucified Jesus, they become angry at creationists and verbally attack them for upsetting their sacred Darwinian tradition. |
| Now let's notice the period from the flood to the exodus from Egypt. |
 |
The historical record from the time of The Flood to the time of the Exodus is very clear. The Flood came 1656 years after Creation, and the Exodus from Egypt was 857 years after the Flood or 2513 years after Creation. We have lists of the kings of Egypt that go back to the time of the Exodus that give us the BC dates that match the Bible records and the stories that fit the Bible time line perfectly. Let's look at the 430 and the 400 year periods concerning the promise God made to Abraham. |
| Fortunately the Bible record gives us many time periods outside of the historic chronological record because at this point in the time line the history shifts from the chronological to the geneological record in order to trace "the seed" that is the ancestry of Abraham. It is at this point where I change the time line to the BC record for the final count down to the Messiah. |
 |
You will notice another block of time: -- 480 years. Here is 1 Kings 6:1 -- "And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the Lord." Most Bible scholars agree that the Exodus is 2513 years after Creation. And when you add 480 years to bring us to the starting date of the temple building you have 2993 years from creation to this memorial event. There is now enough recorded history outside of the Bible record to establish the B.C. date for this event. The B.C. date for this great historical event is 965 B.C. Count backwards and fill in B.C. dates all the way to Creation. |
| You may wonder what the zigzag up and down lines represent. That stands for the sad period when every man did what was right in his own eyes. There were some great heroes or judges that brought periods of peace but there were many wars with Philistines and many wars even among the tribes of their own people. The chronology of this period is not easy because at times the Judges' terms of office overlapped each other while in many areas there were no Judges at all. |
I am sorry to stop here right now. Please come back. constructing
